Cardiovascular disease is the number one killer of women in the United States, affecting more than half a million each year. Piedmont Heart Institute offers services to prevent, diagnose and treat women’s heart disease. With six female cariovascular physicians, the multidisciplinary team provides up-to-date methods for evaluation, prevention and treatment for women with primary and secondary prevention needs. Cardiologists involved in the program will be specialists in all aspects of cardiovascular disease in women, latest disease recommendations and national guidelines.

Spirit of Women is a national movement to improve the health of our community by motivating women to make positive changes in their lives, and that of their family members by emphasizing their total well-being – mind, body, and spirit.
